This project discuses the disparities women of color face in healthcare, patients and physicians alike. We chose to write our proposal to the American Medical Association (AMA) because it is one of the largest medical associations in the nation. If AMA decides to make a change, other organizations are likely to follow. We discussed researched backed statistics and academic journals to emphasize how and why healthcare organizations need to work on long-term solutions to this issue.
